Back to School

It’s back to school time again! As you and your children prepare for the coming school year, we have your back! Whether you’re looking for a book (or books!) on a particular subject or an online tool to help with homework, your library card is the key.

Our Homework Help page has a number of helpful research and learning resources for kids in grades 3-12, including the children’s edition of the encyclopedic Britannica Library, the video-based ScienceFlix, and MasterFile Premier, an excellent source of full-text articles for papers and projects that require them.

Are you a teacher? Come by our Teacher Resources page, where you can request a stack of books on a particular subject for your classroom. You can also take advantage of our Book-A-Visit service, where you can request a librarian to visit your school or give a tour of the library to your class.

Have you got a little one that isn’t quite ready for school? It’s never too early to start fostering a life-long love of reading! We encourage you to try the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program, which rewards younger children for reading, or being read to, as they prepare for kindergarten.
